To raise money for prostate cancer awareness, Putters Fore Prostate Cancer hosts an annual non-profit golf tournament. Our 2017 tournament will be at the Oak Valley Golf Club on September 8th. For more information reach out to us by phone or the Contact up page.
I can’t thank you enough for the turn out for this year’s (2016) 7th annual Putters Fore Prostate Cancer golf tournament. If it weren’t for the volunteers and the sponsors like Village Tavern, we couldn’t have done it. We have been so blessed with the overall excitement about this tournament every year. With the $10,000.00 hole in one from the Phoenix Co. to Jeff (the Critter) Chrittenburg and his longdrives on 18! Wait till you see what we have planned for 2017?
PFPC has also starting the Benches of Life program. Contact us for more information and to see one of these benches available for donation. We just thank God and you for helping us with Prostate Cancer Awareness.

I would like to thank my friends – new and old, my sponsors and my volunteers. Little did I know when I was diagnosed with prostate cancer seven years ago, that this would be the greatest seven years of my life.
My first reaction was …. “woe is me” and “now what is gonna happen?” That’s when the Lord stepped in with an idea that I couldn’t have imagined. It was a journey that would impact my life so much. The idea of a golf tournament to raise awareness of Prostate Cancer. Little did I know the prostate cancer would uncover kidney (renal cell) cancer. Within days I would have a “vacant spot” where my right kidney had been. A few weeks later treatment would begin for prostate cancer.
In 2010, Putters Fore Prostate Cancer or PFPC was formed. Through the help of some great friends, the first golf tournament was held. Tommy Williams, PGA golf instructor was my mentor. John Pegg helped to market PFPC. Daniel Glasco and Village Tavern provided catering. And last but not least, Derek Hill, who the Lord brought to share the vision and begin PFPC.
As the tournament grew, we began to share many ideas on the best way to use the funds collected to bring awareness of Prostate Cancer. The Bench of Life was created. These benches will be placed at golf courses and donated in memory or recognistion of someone who has shown support throughout the years. Sadly, but with great admiration, the first bench was donated in memory of Tommy Williams this past June. Being a Christian, this cancer journey with the Lord has taught me many things. I am a better person because of this journey. Now my cancer and PFPC have come full circle. From the humble start of an idea, to being able to bring awareness of saving men’s lives through early detection of prostate cancer.
My prayer is that the foundation will continue to grow with your help and support. I love each and everyone of you and I will be waiting in heaven for you. I pray that if you don’t know Jesus as your Savior…now is the time to make that decision. I could never have made this journey without HIM.
Thank you for the journey, Greg Smith

Spread the word by Playing in, or Sponsoring a Hole at our next Golf Outing at Oak Valley, Sept 8th, 2017.
Our mission is to save men's lives by raising their awareness of the importance of early prostate screening. Furthermore, in an effort to reach as many men as possible, PFPC has a goal of putting mobile screening trailers on the road to facilitate free screenings in every community we can reach.
We are dedicated to getting the word out to all men on the importance of getting a quick and easy screening for prostate cancer. It is one of the easiest things a man can do to ensure a long, healthy life.
We are always looking for volunteers. You will find that in volunteering, you will spark a sense of happiness and strength to conquer any of life's challenges.
Can't spend a dime?
Then, spend some time... helping us help those in need.
